The journey of EmpowerHer.Energy began humbly in 2022 as a small but impactful panel discussion within a larger event. What started as a simple conversation quickly sparked something much bigger—a shared, urgent desire to disrupt male-dominated sectors. We set out to champion women in the energy and construction industries, where they had been underrepresented and unheard for far too long.

 

By 2023, it was clear that we were witnessing more than just a moment; we were witnessing a movement. We expanded our reach, hosting impactful discussions and building a global network of inspiring women.

These encounters weren’t just about telling stories—they were about listening deeply. We heard from women eager to develop new skills, access influential networks, and lead innovative projects. We also engaged with men committed to an inclusive future, advocating as allies and change agents within traditionally closed spaces. Together, we began to lay the foundation for a new kind of industry leadership.

 

In 2024, the mission of EmpowerHer.Energy was tested by the weight of reality. As the war between Lebanon and Israel escalated, the industries we serve became the front lines of survival. We saw firsthand the devastating impact of conflict on energy security and the disproportionate burden placed on women during the crisis.

 

However, amidst the blackouts and displacement, a profound truth emerged: Women are the architects of resilience. From managing decentralized energy solutions for their families to leading community-level reconstruction efforts, women proved that their leadership is not just a "diversity goal"—it is a necessity for national recovery. This period transformed our mission from one of professional inclusion to one of essential survival and sustainable rebuilding.

 

Driven by these voices and the lessons of 2024, EmpowerHer.Energy is now evolving into a powerful platform for collaboration, innovation, and empowerment. We are unifying efforts to redefine what leadership looks like in energy, construction, and beyond.

We are moving forward with a focus on decentralization, sustainability, and the belief that in times of both peace and crisis, talent—not gender—must define success. The movement is just getting started. Together, we are building a future where the resilience of women powers the world.
